Our Bayside Beans Coffee Roasters packaging and label design is coming along nicely, and we are excited to give you a sneak peek! The black bag in the middle is our standard 12oz coffee bag, the little ones are 2 oz sample packs. The 12 0z bags are foiled-lined, which is a great barrier and will ensure the coffee beans are protected from outside elements and stay fresh for a long time. Down here in the Tampa Bay area, humidity is the biggest problem. If the coffee absorbs a lot of moisture, it can affect its ability to release its flavor compounds when you steep it, leading to a slower or reduced extraction. The bags also have a one-way valve that lets the coffee vent carbon dioxide, which allows us to package it immediately after roasting and let the coffee beans degas in the bag. Ensuring they hit their sweet spot right when they arrive at your door!
